About Quorum Sensing

Whenever an imbalance occurs within an ecosystem, nutrient conversion efficiency plummets and pathogens and toxins prevail. This applies to ALL soils, plants and animals. Many people see the word "bacteria" as something bad when, in fact, there are many beneficial bacteria. Microorganisms within a living ecosystem have a direct line of communication with each other based on the quantity of microorganisms present, called quorum sensing.

Think of it like two armies, one red – the other blue, fighting a battle. The red army has 100 soldiers. The blue army has 1,000 soldiers. When they advance toward each other, the blue army is going to overwhelm the red army, quantitatively. The blue army will be able to suppress and sway any actions taken by the red army because they're outnumbered. Quorum sensing works the same way. If there is a larger population of harmful bacteria over the beneficial bacteria, the bad guys will suppress the gene expressions of the good guys, which allows the whole colony to become toxic. Hence, a pathogen is formed and disease ensues.

Biostimulants

Wind River Microbes' biostimulants are designed to balance the populations of beneficial bacteria within the ecosystem. The objective is to maintain an abundance of beneficial microbes to deter pathogens from colonizing. By doing so, we are able to increase nutrient conversion rates and increase overall healthy growth rates, all while utilizing less inputs and saving money.
